Adamson seeks 3rd straight vs slumping UE
MANILA, Philippines – The Adamson University Soaring Falcons will go for their 3rd straight victory as they battle the still winless University of the East Red Warriors in Thursday’s UAAP action.
The Falcons (2-1) are currently in a 3-way tie for 2nd place with Far Easter University (FEU) and University of Sto. Tomas (UST) .
Adamson is on a roll after walloping FEU, 78-59, and giving UST its first loss of the season, 81-71.
Meanwhile, the Red Warriors are mired in a slump and are dead last in the league in terms of points production, having averaged on 58 points per game in their 1st 4 games.
High-leaping forward Alex Nuyles will look to lead the Falcons against Paul Zamar’s Warriors.
In the 2nd game, it will be the battle of the guards as the De La Salle University Green Archers (1-2) and the National University Bulldogs (1-3) face off.
La Salle’s LA Revilla will be expected to lead his team against Ray-Ray Parks and the Bulldogs.
Following a 0-2 start to the season, the Green Archers finally got their 1st victory at the expense of the UP Fighting Maroons.
The Bulldogs, on the other hand, seem to be struggling under the weight of pre-season expectations as they suffered back-to-back losses to the Ateneo Blue Eagles and FEU.
